QA Engineer (Automation) – Manchester

I’m working with an established, award‑winning fintech business to find their next Automation Engineer. The business is growing rapidly and is looking for someone with solid experience in WebdriverIO or Playwright to support a range of ongoing projects across web and mobile applications.

Key skills and experience:
- Experience in test automation, including writing automated test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong, hands-on experience with WebdriverIO or Playwright
- Experience using Selenium or Appium, particularly for mobile application testing
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as GitHub Actions
- Background testing web and mobile applications, with limited API testing required
Nice to have:
- Experience testing React-based applications
What you’ll be doing:
The role focuses heavily on automation testing, improving coverage and reliability, while still applying manual testing where it adds value. You’ll be supporting ongoing delivery, enhancing test frameworks and working closely with developers and product teams to maintain high quality standards.
