What you'll own
- Live algo strategies across crypto spot and derivatives — market making and HFT, not backtests gathering dust
- Real-time P&L, position risk, execution quality — you watch it, you fix it, you wear it
- Edge improvements and parameter tuning based on actual performance data, not vibes
- Tight loop with quant research and C++ engineering to turn ideas into production
- Risk dashboards, alerting, exposure limits — building the guardrails, not just driving inside them
- New pairs, new asset classes, post-trade reviews, incident postmortems — the full loop
What you need
- 5+ years running algo/systematic strategies at a tier-1 prop firm, hedge fund, or market maker
- Real HFT or ultra-low-latency trading experience — not adjacent, actual
- Sharp grip on market microstructure, order book dynamics, execution algos
- Direct P&L responsibility on live strategies — you've had skin in the game, not just dashboards to look at
- Strong quant chops — comfortable pulling apart large datasets and reasoning about risk properly
- Python fluency for analysis, scripting, prototyping
- Crypto markets experience strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of derivatives — futures, perps, options — and how their risk actually behaves
- Can operate alone, under pressure, and make the call when it matters
Bonus points
- C++ trading systems / co-located infra familiarity
- Funding rate dynamics, basis trading, cross-exchange arb
- Built or improved risk frameworks before
